For stir frying use butter. Coarsely chopped onions and carrots. Cut the beef to large cubes.
Crushed garlic. Use frying pan to stir fry onion with carrots,
leave aside. Fry Beef until light brown colour.
Heat up oven to 170c. Lay beef and vegetables in deep pan.
Add pepper, bay leaf, garlic and salt. Pour with cider.
Cook 2.5 hours in oven, covered.
