Chop onion and saute in a skillet with butter until golden brown.
Put in a pan, pour 1.5 liters of water and bring to a boil.
Add coarsely chopped carrots and potatoes, season with salt and cook for 5 minutes.
Then, add diced pumpkin and cook for another 5 minutes.
Remove from heat, let cool and beat with a mixer.
Add milk, boil for another 5 minutes and add curry and pepper.
Serve with dried toasted white bread.
